the way an alligator keeps its body temprature is if it is hot it waddles into any surrounding H2O (water) to cool down but if it is cold it opens its mouth on shore mostly to warm up or it just lies in the sun

Depends whether or not it has bathed out in the sun. They don't have a constant static temperature range within their bodies and are totally dependant of their environment. 86-89 degrees F
