Batteries are inserted negative to positive and the battery contains electricity which produces heat and light therefore making the battery makes the torch work
Check the batteries and connections. If it still won't work go to the dollar shop and get another.
same the batteries
You cannot light a wooden torch in space because there is no oxygen to support the burning. A normal electric torch would also fail to work if its temperature had dropped too low as the batteries wouldn't produce enough current.
you can make a torch bulb
the batteries power the torch to turn on and then it lights up cool huh lol thanks
my torch does work though...
i want to know that too... can someone help me ??
A torch has six main parts. The bulb, the switch, the batteries, the wiring, the reflector, and the case. The switch connects the batteries to the bulb via the wiring. The reflector focuses the lamp beam, and the case holds all of the parts together.

It provides the light in the torch
Either one, depending upon the type of battery. You can get Alkali Batteries for your toys and flashlights. Car batteries contain acids. It requires one or the other to create the ionic differences that produce the current flow.
