All animals (as well as humans) require three basic things to survive:
Food
Water and
Shelter
With resepct to animals in the desert:
some dig burrows which enable them to keep cool during the day: some of them even plug up the tunnel entrance to help keep out the heat
some dig burrows to enable them to reach the water table under the desert
many creatures do not need to actually drink water, but obtain their moisture needs from the foods or other animals they eat
some have special adaptations, such as the Australian thorny devil, a lizard with sharp spikes which actually channel moisture to its mouth
reptiles are cold-blooded, meaning they actually require the heat to warm them enough so they can move around and feed
many creatures are active at night and in the early morning when it is cooler
some reptiles, amphibians and arthropods remain dormant beneath the ground until the rains come, stimulating their breeding cycle
many desert creatures have pale skin which does not absorb the heat as much
some animals, such as camels, have special protective thick pads, or thick eyelashes that keep out the desert sand
Some animals such as the camal have adapted to have very long eyelashes to keep sand out of eyes, can store water when it is not present, big toes so they can walk easily on the sand and many other things. Other animals have very big ears therefore they lose heat quicker, which is vital in the desert.
Many animals only come out at night to avoid the heat of the day. Some conserve water, and get most of their moisture from food.
Many animals will dig burrows or steal burrows from others to shelter out of the sun. There is some shade provided by low bushes and animals gather there. Sand vipers sit just under the sand until prey comes by. Sandfish lizards can actually "swim" through the sand.
Well, over the years, animals and their bodies have adopted to weather conditions and food supply. There are different ways each animal survives, like by eating less, or by storing water inside their bodies. But there aren't that many animals in the Sahara, at least, not like in forests.
Animals adapted to the desert dont drink much water and sleep most of the day. They aslo can sleep deep down in the sand with can hold alot of heat or coolnes.
` They store fat in their humps and water in the lining of their stomachs
The animals in the Sahara desert survive by drinking lots of water and staying cool in the shade.
Sahara Desert animals live by using their traits that they have to use to protect and survive in the desert. ( EX) A fennec fox uses its big ears to stay cool at the Sahara desert....
Broadly speaking, animals survive through adaptation to the environment. There are hundreds of different animals that live in the Sahara desert, so it is difficult to give a more specific answer.
Yes, they live in the Sahara desert but I'm not sure how they survive.
In the Sahara desert you would only find animals at an oasis.
