A chameleon will give birth by first digging a hole in the ground. The female will then deposit her eggs in this hole. Most eggs will hatch in 4-12 months, but one type of chameleons eggs will hatch in 24 months.
Most chameleons lay eggs. One that doesn't is the Jacksons Chameleon. It gives live birth to about 4 or 5 babies.
