Indicators would work to determine the pH of colored substances. The color change may be difficult to read depending on the indicator used. Another alternative to adding a indicator to the substance would be to use a test strip.
By the process of a chemical reaction resulting in a colour change different from the original, depending on the acidity or alkalinity of the substance.
Universal indicator can be used to determine the pH of a substance.
I recommend to use a pH-meter.

Phenolphthalein
Refraction is the bending of the rays of light when it travels from one medium to another... For refraction to occur there should be some difference in the refractive index of the materials.... Refraction can also occur in Opaque medium........
The reference point should be stationary, or not moving.
How else would you determine the validity of the hypothesis.
transparent
A pure substance:cannot be separated into 2 or more substances by physical or mechanical meansis homogeneous, ie, has uniform composition throughout the whole sampleits properties are constant throughout the whole sampleits properties do not depend on how it is prepared or purifiedhas constant chemical composition
An indicator does not need to indicate for only one substance. Depending on the field, sometimes it does and sometimes it does not. If it is a drug test where an artificial drug is similar to a natural substance, then an indicator should test for just the illegal substance. In a mine, a number of valuable chemicals are found together. In that case a broad test can be used. You do not care if the chemical reaction shows if any of the desired chemicals are present. If the test is positive, you want to mine the ore. If it is negative, you will save your money.
when a shadow is formed there should be an opaque object the picture can be formed on the screen.
Some rubies are opaque but these are considered to be low in value. A ruby that is high in value should be almost transparent and should have bright coloring.
A pH meter
Pure Substances Boil at a Constant Temperature while Mixtures do not, To determine if the Distillate is pure the Liquid distillate would be boiled and for example if the substance is water, it should begin boiling at exactly at 100 degrees celcius if it boils below or above that point it is not a pure substance
It should be opaque
Advantages to using pH strips is that the user does not have to determine which indicator to use for a sample, they are inexpensive and it's a faster way to receive results than using indicators. Disadvantages to using pH strips is that the accuracy is lower and the solution should be only clear and colorless.
There are three types of substances acids, bases, and neutrals. The properties of an acid include they are sour, have a PH of less then 7, corrosive to skin, contains hydrogen, and reacts to litmus paper.
A few drops of any indicator is generally enough to get a reading.
The indicator should change color right at the equivalence point, so 5.
acid should be a bright pink colour when using the indicator and alkali should go a greeny colour :) hope this helped you
It depends on the substance.
