Walkie talkies are not a subsitute for cell phones. They are meant for broadcast mode (talking in a group mode) . Typically used in construction, security, schools and college…s, outdoor catering, airlines, tea and coffee estates, golf courses, resorts, event management and sports. they can go out of range and have a small number of channels that they can communicate to each other on. The biggest limitation of Walkie Talkies, besides being low power (not good for more than 2 - 3 city blocks) is 1) Only one person can talk at a time, and 2) Everyone else with a Walkie Talkie can hear what you are saying to your friend if they are within 2 - 3 city blocks of your house.
Cobra radio does not need any licence as it is Licence Free radio. If you press PTT (Push-To-Talk) button, and you hear beep-beep, it is probably signal for LOW BATTERY …LEVEL. You need to charge the battery before using it. If this does not help, either battery needs replacing or radio is faulty. Make sure both radios are on the same channel and sub-channel (Sub-audiable tone), otherwise you will not be able to communicate with the other radio user. More details will be in your Operation Manual, if you have mislaid it then you will be able to order another one from your supplier or Cobra themselves.
Most any channel. Some GRMS channels that allow 2 or more watts of transmitting power require a FCC License ($75 for 5 years). Channels 1-7 and 15-22 require a license.

What the hell is wrong with you? You set them to the same channel, hold the button down and talk.
They use them so they can record rap lyrics. They might forget them if they wait until they get home
Most scanners built currently will tune in most walkietalkies.
With beeps and long beeps. It's like Balto, with the guy sending that message on the telegram.
If those walkie-talkies operate on CB frequencies, then yes. There are several handheld CB radios available. 40 channel handhelds are available from Cobra, Uniden, and Radio S…hack. Radio Shack also has (or used to have) a three channel handheld CB radio available. It came with the radio crystals to operate on Channel 14, and you could purchase the radio crystals for any other channels you wished to operate on.
Santa Claus doesn't exist! Whatever your parents tell you(:
When they're inside their spacecraft, in the "shirtsleeve" environment, and the spacecraft is full of air, they don't need walkie-talkies, and are able to communicate in the… usual way, using only mouths and ears. But if they're operating in an environment without air, such as during a "space-walk" or on the moon, then they need to use radio. The reason for the difference is the fact that sound needs a substance to travel through. If there is no air between the speaker's mouth and the listener's ear, then sound cannot make the trip, and another means of communication is required.
(in the US) If you are referring to non-military civiian-type radio - as long as you are using an FCC-compliant device - except for the fact that you may not curse while on th…e air, and you may not cause intentional interference with another radio - there is very little restrictions on their use.
walkie talkies usually come in pairs, and they send wireless radio signals back and forth to allow people to talk to each other from a distance. The distance depends on the ty…pe of device and what channel it is set to.
when they land , so they can communicate with each other. --- The term "Walkie Talkie" is a colloquialism which refers to a hand portable transceiver. Since every spacesuit is… fitted with a hands-free transceiver then it is fair to say that they are always using one when suited up.
