My 2010 Ford Escape's manual says it has electric assist steering.......would it even have Power Steering fluid?
where do i add power steering fluid on a ford escape hybrid
The power steering fluid for it is actually the transmission fluid. It should be Mercron. Is this suposed to go in the power steering chamber or the transmission chamber to work. The fluid in my 2006 Ford Escape XLT steering fluid tank is black.
According to the 2002 Ford Escape owners manual ( Motorcraft MERCON automatic transmission fluid ) is used as the power steering fluid
the power steering fluid is located on the passenger side right in front of the wiper fluid resevoiur
The 2006 Ford Escape owners manual shows : Motorcraft MERCON ATF ( automatic transmission fluid ) is used in the power steering
According to the 2008 Ford Escape Owner Guide : It has the Electric Power-Assisted Steering system ( EPAS ) There is no power steering fluid reservoir to check or fill
According to the 2005 Ford Escape HYBRID Owner Guide : The vehicle is equipped with the Electric Power - Assisted Steering ( EPAS ) system , there is no power steering fluid reservoir to check or fill
To change the Ford Escape power steering fluid, drain any fluid from the reservoir by pulling out the stopper. One can flush the old fluid out of the system. Replace the stopper and add the amount of fluid recommended by the owners' manual.
NO ! ( My Ford Explorer uses automatic transmission fluid as the power steering fluid )
