At the beginning? Use the Force to keep his leg stuck for awhile. Then jump onto the stuck leg (I think there's a green circle on the spot where you should be), then walk up it and slice the turret that's closest to you (the metal pole coming out of the side of it's head and is shooting at you; slice all four of these to defeat it). If you mean on how to defeat that huge droid, it's easy. Use the Force to hold down the droid's leg when it becomes stuck (when doing this, tap the button required for Force repeatedly). When the foot becomes even more stuck, jump onto the leg and then onto the nose/eye/cannon part of it and destroy that. Repeat this same procedure for the second leg. When the second eye/cannon is destroyed and the final (3rd) leg is stuck, after jumping onto its leg, jump towards the droid's head. When atop of it, stab into the droid's head, which therefore destroys it

The droid will stomp its foot and when it becomes stuck, press the button that activates the Force repeatedly to make sure the foot stays down. Then once the foot is down, jump onto the foot and then jump towards the eye/gun pole-like object. Use the lightsaber to destroy the eye. Then do it again for the sensor. Repeat these steps for the second leg. Then for the third (and final leg), after using the Force to hold it down, jump onto the leg and jump towards the gun. The character will automatically jump onto the droid's head and stab into it. Hope this helps.

If you're talking about the huge spider-like droid called the octuptarra droid in the very beginning, its hard at first. When the foot becomes stuck, use the Force (more like pressing the button that enables Force-push repeatedly). Once the foot is all the way down, jump onto the leg and then jump towards the droid's eye/cannon. Destroy the eye/sensor and the gun. Once they are destroyed, do the same for the second leg. For the third leg, once you jump onto the leg, jump towards the droid and your playable character will automatically destroy the droid. Hope this helps.

Most people have problems with that three-legged octuptarra droid, for I did too. The droid will stomp its legs for a bit and then it really raises its leg, but when it stomps, it becomes stuck. Walk up to the leg that's stuck and when you see a blue highlight around the leg, constantly tap the Z button on the Nunchuck to use the Force to make its leg even more stuck. Then when the leg extends out, jump onto it and jump towards the eye sensor/gun. Simply press the B button to destroy the eye, then again to destroy the gun. Repeat this process for the next time the droid's legs gets stuck. But for the third and final one, after you use the Force to bring its leg down, jump toward the gun/eye and the character will automatically jump onto the top of the droid, finishing it. Then the level is over. Keep in mind that it is important to know how to beat this droid for you will have to do it again later on in the game.

If you're talking about the game called "Republic Heroes," then I know the solution. I, too, got stuck at first. When the huge octuptarra droid's foot becomes stuck, repeatedly press the Z button, which is the Force. Then the leg sticks out. Jump onto it and then jump towards the octuptarra. To slice off its sensor/gun, press the B button twice. When you succeed, you will automatically jump off. Repeat this process for the next time the droid's foot gets stuck. But for the third time, instead of slicing off the sensor, when you jump towards the droid, you will automatically jump towards its head and you will automatically stab into the droid's head and not only succeed in destroying him, but completing the first level. It's important to know how to do this, for you have to do this again far later into the game
