Many technical and community colleges offer certification classes for aspiring personal trainers. Once you have graduated and obtained your certification, you may be required to get a license from your local or state government, and may be required to carry special insurance. Once you have obtained any required licenses and insurance, you can start applying for a position at a local gym, fitness club, spa, or even at a corporate wellness center. You can also go into business for yourself, but you will need to file a lot of paperwork (and possibly hire a corporate filing attorney) to do so.

Many personal trainers start as regular customers of their favorite gym, offering advice and spotting for other customers. After some time, you may be approached by the gym's management about working as a personal trainer, or you may inform them of your interest. It is best to have the licenses and paperwork already finished by this point.

no, you need training and be certified. If you don;t know anatomy and some form of how the body works biologically, you could really hurt someone.

Yes, that true. However, the majority of personal trainers that say that do not have college degrees. That the equivalent of saying that people who have jobs as doctors don't need to go to medical school. Yes, you would probably learn a lot from interning under a doctor, and it would surely benefit the person who choose to sidestep medical school, but wouldn't a patient feel a bit more comfortable being treated by a physician that went to medical school? If you want to move up into management of health clubs and gyms, or even into other health-related professions, then a degree is the only way to go. Plus, it separates you from nearly all other personal trainers.

Personal trainers as a whole have diverse training backgrounds. Some are college educated, some are not. Some are athletes, some are not. Most personal trainers in gyms are basically sales people. If you want to pursue a career in PT, most gyms require certification.

Some common organizations offering certification are:

ACE-The American council of Exercise

NASM-The National Academy of sports Medicine

ISSA-International Sports Sciences Association

NSCA-National Strength and Conditioning Association

ACSM-The American College of Sports Medicine

AFAA-Aerobics and Fitness Association of America

Ask the gym you want to work for which certifications they require and then study for those.

You must a genuine interest in your clients and not be shy. Build up your clientele.

A certified fitness trainer does not require a college education. However, the more education and experience you have, the better off you'll be when you go looking for a position. There are fitness training centers that offer classes that would be invaluable in your training.

That's not correct that training is required only for job. Trainees require the training to get the knowledge about the concept like eg., Softskills training, behaviour training, and etc., and training is required to make them understand and perfect on their kind of works i.e., job, studies or may be in a real life as well everything is done by training.
