There are two ways you can do this.
Assuming you can get into your computer, you can set it up to automatically reboot in Safe.
1. Press and hold the Windows key + R to execute "Run"
2. Type "MSCONFIG" without quotes, press enter
3. Open the second tab: "Boot"
4. Find the "Boot Options" box (just under the "Advanced" button")
5. Tick the "Safe boot" checkbox
6. Click "Apply", then "OK"
7. Restart Windows 7 as you normally would.
This will automatically start Windows 7 in Safe Mode.
REMEMBER TO GO THROUGH THE ABOVE PROCESS TO
REMOVE THE SAFE BOOT OPTION, ONCE YOU'RE DONE,
OR YOU WILL CONTINUE TO START UP IN SAFE MODE!
The second method is infinitely easier, but it requires
a little bit of precision timing, to pull it it off.
1. Start your computer
2. After the Manufacturer's screen splash, press "F8"
3. Enure you do this before the "Starting Windows" splash comes up.
4. This will bring up the OS's "Boot Options"
5. Select "Safe Mode"
6. If you need internet while in safe, select "Safe Mode with Networking".
Unlike the first method, this will launch the OS in Safe Mode only when
you press F8 to access boot options; when you restart Windows 7, it
will launch normally.
You may need a couple of tries to get your timing right, between the
manufacturer's screen, and the "Starting Windows" splash.

can windows vista reboot with usb
When you reboot your PC, continuously pressing the F8 key will allow you to start in safe mode.
Reboot into safe mode (By pressing the F8 key when you start your computer) and see if you get the windows screen. If it is black in safe mode then means your windows is corrupted. If you can see the screen that means windows is ok. Run msconfig under safe mode then reboot and see if everything works.
You have to reboot. there is no other way. Safe mode is just windows loaded with just the basic drivers required to run.
Reboot the system, press and hold F8 until a menu is displayed, and then select Safe Mode
Rebooting your computer in safe mode is a good idea if you suspect a virus or your computer is running slow. To find out how to reboot check out Microsoft.
1. Boot into Safe Mode with Networking by pressing F8 during boot 2. Download Free spyware scanner 3. reboot in normal mode and Install the program 4. Run it and remove infected files. Then reboot.
you can reboot it so that it is not in safe mode
just reboot it..re open then press f8 and reboot..
My Windows Vista can be booted in safe mode by doing this: - turn your computer off by the plug - then turn it back on - it should say " windows was not shut down properly the last time it was used" - You can then reboot normally to last used settings - boot in safe mode with MS-DOS - boot in safe mode with networking (internet)
It it will not run at all, Insert your Win98 CD, and go to a DOS prompt. Run c:\windows\system32\sfc.exe to verify your system files. SFC is "system file checker". If defrag stop and restarts, reboot and hit F8 to enter safe mode. Run defrag from safe mode.
How go you get sound on safe mode with networking on windows xp
You changed resolution to a mode that your monitor cannot handle.Restart in Safe Mode; to do this (in Windows), restart the computer, and press F8 before you see the windows logo. You may need to press it several times. You should get a menu, and one of the choices is "Boot computer in safe mode". Boot in safe mode, then once your computer is booted, change the resolution to 640x480, then shut down and reboot again (returning to normal mode). You can then set the resolution and colors back to where you want them (and where they work).
