To calculate the weight of a given amount of steel in the metric system you simply multiply the volume of steel in cubic meters times the SG of steel (typically 7.85 but it varies slightly depending on the type of steel). The answer will be in metric tonnes or MT.

The volume of a sphere (or ball) can be calculated using;

V=4/3 r3

Multiply that by the density of steel (7700kg/m3 or whatever you're using). Simple as that.

What is a steel ball?

A steel ball is a ball, or sphere, made of steel. An example would be a ball bearing, and the whole world runs on bearings, many of which are of the ball bearing variety.

How do you calculate the weight of an iron ball?

The most practical way to calculate this would be to simply weigh the ball, using weighing scales. If the ball is likely to roll off the scales, you can place it between objects to keep it in place. Then, subtract the weight of the objects from the total weight to find the weight of the iron ball.

weight of all steel can be calculated by multiplying unit volume with density.

How do you calculate the weight of galvanized steel pipe?

Ignore the zinc content. Just calculate the volume of steel in the given type (e.g schedule 40), size and length of pipe and multiply by the density of that grade of steel.

How do you calculate the weight of structural steel?

please i will said what i do but please make acheck if u have asteel pipe and want to know the weight of it you have to know the following 1- the outer diameter 2- the thickness of the pipe the u do the following ] (outer diam - thickness) * 3.14 * 7.85 * thikness * lenght of pipe (in millemeter) / 1000000 = the weight of the pipe * Note that : all dimension are in millimeter

Why doesn't a steel ball have 5 times the acceleration of a plastic ball if the steel ball has 5 times the mass and weight of the plastic ball plus if gravity pulls 5 times harder on the steel ball?

We know that Force=mass*Accelaration Acceleration=Force/Mass So,Accelaration is inversely proportional to mass.i.e,if mass increases,acceleration decreases and vice versa . now coming to the present problem, steel ball has more mass than plastic ball so as described above steel ball has less acceleration than plastic ball.
