Inside the trunk there is the plastic lining on the edges. There are small black screws and anchors holding the lining on the trunk body. unscrew these black screws. Make sure to remove the small black plastic anchors from the hole, so it wont shoot off and get lost somewhere. Take off the cover for the area where the jack is. Pull back, somewhat gently, the trunk lining, from the trunk body. Be careful, as this lining must be put back, and it's better if the plastic retains its shape and doesn't get bent.
There are small areas where a human hand can fit on the inside of the trunk body. There are little grey knobs with wires attached (these are the sockets for the light bulbs. Grip the socket on the grey part, and rotate counter clockwise until the socket makes a click sound. pull out the bulb slowly so it doesn't scrape against the metal (like you're playing a game of Operation). The bulb pulls out of the grey socket, but don't grip the bulb too hard, cause it will break. On the bulb there are some numbers which identify the part number, wattage, voltage, and brand of the bulb. Take the bulb to a nearby auto parts store (I use Advance Auto Parts, though Auto Zone is good too), and ask a store attendant if they have the same bulb. I got my replacement bulbs for like 10 bucks, and they work perfect.
Push the new bulbs back into the sockets, being careful not to break them. Make sure your hands are washed, or even use gloves, so the new bulbs don't get oily or greasy. Put the light/socket back in the metal hole. Be aware of the 4 small pieces sticking out of the socket. Make sure the one large piece matches up with the large part of the hole, and rotate clockwise to tighten. Push back the plastic trunk lining (make sure the plastic lining is underneath the black waterproof lining thing), put the Jack panel cover back on, and put the small black anchor back into the hole, and put the screw back in, turning the plastic screw clockwise. The screws do not tighten all the way, just make sure they are not sticking out.) Have someone step on the brake, and make sure the lights work.
