First get a cabin air filter from you auto shop hopefully they can get you the right one the first time.

Next on the passenger side of the car you have to open the glove box and take everything out (good time to clean it for when you get pulled over! ha ha) then on the right hand side of the glove box there is a latch that keeps the glove box from falling all of the way down to the floor. Unhook that latch and let the glove box hang. As you are sitting there look straight behind the glove box and there is a tray that slides straight out with a release leaver on the left. Pull out the tray. TAKE NOTE OF THE WAY THAT FILTER IS INSTALLED AND INSTALL THE NEW ONE THE SAME AIR FLOW DIRECTION. Slide the tray back in until it clicks with the new air filter and hook the glove box back together and whala! Fresh Cabin Air.

It is kinda grose what might be in the air filter. I was pretty amazed by what I found in myne. Good luck!

Please allow me to add to the above post by making a few clarifications: When you unhook the latch on the right hand side of the glove box you will do this at the bottom of the latch where it attaches to the glove box and not above...also to unhook it you will need to push the latch firmly toward the glove box and it will snap off fairly easily...it is a hook type end that snaps on and off. Also, when removing the filter, there are actually 2 release buttons on both ends of the filter housing...push both in simultaneously and remove the filter. I certainly can attest to the filth I found in mine and it was clear it had probably never been replaced.
