WMM (Windows Movie Maker) is a very basic video editing software application with limited features.
While you can change the background on media in purchased video editing programs (like Magix Movie Edit Pro for example), you can't do that with WMM.
All edits for background images must be done prior to importing into WMM.
:(
Here's how to add text on the back ground in WMM (windows movie maker):
With your media in the Time-line view of WMM...
> Click on Tools, Titles and Credits
> Choose where you want the text to appear (on clip, before or after it...)
> Enter the text in the space provided
(The preview will begin when you have finished typing)
> Change the text animation, font and color by clicking the appropriate links
> Click Add Title
The text will appear in the Title Overlay track in the time-line view of WMM. You can drag it along the time-line, extend or reduce its length, etc. If you wish to edit the Title Overlay again, simply double-click it on the time-line.
Audio compatible with Windows Movie Maker includes:
aif, .aifc, .aiff, .asf, .au, .mp2, .mp3, .mpa, .snd, .wav, .wma
Though all the audio formats (file name extensions) listed above are compatible with WMM, the most popular format is MP3. Ensure the audio you are attempting to import into the program is one of those listed above.
Then, locate and import the file. From the Imported Media pane, drag and drop the audio into the Audio/Music track in the time-line view. Click play in the Preview pane to hear results.
Windows Movie Maker (v2.6) can only record narration. Songs/background music have to be imported ready to place on the Audio/music track. Use external audio editing software to fine-tune your audio prior to importing it into the program.
Not sure what you mean by a backdrop... But, if you are looking for a background, you can either import your own graphic, or use Titles and Credits to create a background.
Import the media you wish to use as background. Drag it down into the video section of the Time-line. Stretch it out to the length of your lyrics.
Im not sure if its different on any other versions of windows, but on windows 7 you save the movie for the computer. Then windows dvd maker recognises the file type. You are then able to add a menu to the movie. Hope this helps :) ♥
If you are asking if you can add a 'spotlight' effect in Windows Movie Maker, you can't.
There is no feature in Windows Movie Maker that allows you to add an effect to all the clips in your project. Windows Movie Maker is a very basic video editing software application with limited features. Unfortunately, you will have to add the effects individually.
Has to be done separately unfortunately. No batching at all in Windows Movie Maker.
Use the Titles and Credits feature to add text over clips in Windows Movie Maker.
some how
To add anything to Windows Movie Maker, you first have to Import the media into the program. Once you have imported it, drag it down into the Time-line or Storyboard.
You can download music from just about anywhere on the internet, or rip it from a CD for use in Windows Movie Maker.
That can't be done on Windows Live Movie Maker. Add the Muzzle flash to the video prior to importing it into Windows Live.
Some of the Windows Movie Maker add ons include some great editing tools. Tools such as cropping, volume enhancing as well as advertising components that you can add into the movie or film.
If you want to remove add on effects you've downloaded, simply locate the files in the Windows Movie Maker folder (in Programs) and delete them.
No, there is no way to add a "Play" screen to WMM (Windows Movie Maker) videos. Movie Maker is a very basic video editing program with limited features.
