At the college level the grade is typically not broken down into percentage (the professor can for the course), but in terms of Grade Point Average (GPA). On a 4.0 scale with 4.0 being the highest the below is an example depending on the schools grading system.

  • A - 4.0
  • B+ - 3.5
  • B - 3.0
  • C+ - 2.5
  • C - 2.0
  • D+ - 1.5
  • D - 1.0
  • F - 0.0

There are some schools that grade on a minus system.
