How do you convinse your prents to get you a hamster?

The best thing that you can do is show your parents that you are responsible and able to care for a pet. Spend some time learning about the care and maintinance of hamsters so that you can prove to them how important it is to you.

okay so getting your parents to buy you a hamster maybe hard but sometimes possible okay so problems

mom or dad says "No, we cant get one because we have cats" okay so on this one you have to think from the hamsters point of view i mean think about it the cat wants to probably eat the poor thing maybe its beast to just leave this one alone sorry but there is no solution for this one.......... sorry :-(

mom or dad says "No have enough animals" okay so maybe you should play with the animals you have now...... :-) i think they would be happy too!

m/d says "No they take up to much room" then talk to them about getting a dwarf hamster they take up as much room as a large electric pencil sharpener or cereal bowl just get a tiny cage! :-)

m/d says " No not rite now" then wait good things come to people who wait maybe ask them every 3 weeks or so but not every day that will annoy them and just make them want to say no ;-) remmember be patient! i know its hard but you can live! just think about when you finally get one the cute little fluff ball!

I've been trying for ages. The best way is writing them a pleading letter, showing them hamsters, and saying you'll be good if you get one (keep this promise!!). However, my dad is fine with idea, it is my mum who's stopping me, as my family used to have a dog, and my mum wouldn't talk to anyone for days after he was put down. You must check if there is a good reason.

P.S. Bring it to them slowly, so they don't react badly.

easy dwarf hamsters (samed sex unless you want babies) are happier if they live in pairs.

Tell them how much your "other" hamster ment to you. Just keep talking to them about it.
