Well is a though one! what i saw when i was with my ex is that family is seen as danger because they know that family will try to protect and to open the eyes of the person,so the best you can do is just be polite to the N ,let him be but tell your family member that you know about the situation and that she can count on you to talk or help if the situation rises otherwise she will be isolated from all the friends and family and get the blame if some clash happens between you family and her N she can be put in a very bad position because probably she loves him or is conditionated emotionally and financial by him. I wish you all the best !Otherwise she will be blamed ,isolated and mistreated and get more conflict that she already has,thats what they Ns do!
