How do you beat shagohod in Metal Gear Solid 3?

The first boss you come across is laughing octopus she is fairly easy if you played previous mgs game's and know the controls.The way to beat is when you start off if you have an assault rifle or machine gun use that if you got the big boss emblem which i did you get the patriot which is shown in mgs3 snake eater and the solar gun which only will take her psyche down but is really useful and the thor gun it fires a single but if it hit's her it should do good damage to her.Now when you unload on her when she falls to the floor don't stop unloading on her the more you shoot at her the more damgae you will do to her don't get to near when she get's up because she will try to hit you with her tentacle's or eletricute youand that can do a fair amount of damage to you she will also try to trick you into thinking she is the mk-2 so don't fall for it because as you go near her she will place bomb's on the floor and if you stand on them they will blow up and you with them.Also when sh tosses bomb's at you run into them let them attact to you and roll with the x button by doing this you shake the bomb's off you without wasting ammo.Also toward's the end when her life is low she will do anything to try and kill you she will go into a ball and roll toward's you so press x and the left stick right or left to Dodge not forgeting to unload on her.When you finally defeat her she will strip off her suit and she will be in her normal suit but now she's know as laughing beauty and you will get my point when you see her ha ha the only thing she can do is try and seduce you but don't let her because if she grab's you she you will she your lif gradually decreasing so don't let her grab you and unload on her there is two way's you can kill her with diffrent endings. 1.You can kill her with bullet's. 2.You can knock her out with tranquiliser rounds. If you do what i said above you should be able to kill her or knock her out if you beat her the bosses will kinda get harder as you progress but be stealty and you should be able to do all the other bosses except metal gear ray or liquid on the Outer haven ship. -MASH triangle button in the entire cutscene

-go to the sink to get the jigsaw

-equip jigsaw (item) L+R to use

-unlock the cell gate using jigsaw (be sure you will not get caught because you will go back to start)

-get the prisoner on other cell and escape upstairs

There are two ways to finish that fight. You can't kill him in either (as he's already dead), so don't waste ammo.

Quick way: go prone in the water and drown yourself. When the 'game over' screen appears, open your items menu with L2, and take the revival pill.

Long way: follow the Sorrow all the way to the end, where the 'game over' screen comes up. Take the revival pill. Going all the way to the end gets you the 'ghost' camouflage.

Keep following him, then once you get to the end of the river and "die" take the wake up pill by holding L2 and selecting it.

Tip: Use chaff grenades to keep the air filled with "chaff", it disrupts his electrical abilities.

Fire rpgs at the tracks/drills this will stop it then you can either use the machine guns dotted around or a sniper rifle. Patience is key!
