There is an access plate under the rear brake light. You have to open the seat and at the back toward the brake light there are two latches. These are pin type latches one on each side. These have to have their center push pins pulled out slightly to disengage them from their locked position. Be VERY careful pulling on them they break easily. Once these lock pins have been unlocked then pull them out of their sockets. Once removed using a small round object (for me the inner part of an ink pen) push out through the holes where the pin locks were. This will move the access panel open, pull lightly on the access panel as you reach inside and push your object of choice through the holes to help push off the panel. After the panel is removed you will see the battery.
find the old one, take it out and put in a new one.
