Best Answer

slide the lever back used to cock the gun and remove the clip. Then the cover under the scope holder slide back so you can see the dart then simply remove the dart.

There's an easy way, if you go under the place where you put the sniper scope and door opens

First figure out that it's jammed. This will usually be indicated by it being very hard to fully push the bolt-action handle forward.

Once you've discovered that it's jammed, pull the bolt action back (but not forward again) and take out the clip. With the clip out, pull back the breech cover (it's above where you load the clip and under the scope rail. It slides backwards) to see if there's anything obvious sticking out of the forward barrel. If not, push the bolt action forward again and pull the trigger. If you're lucky, a bullet will shoot right out, and you can load your clip and continue playing as normal.

If it doesn't shoot out, pull the action back again and slide open the breech door. You're going to have to pull the bullet out from the barrel in the back half of the gun. You should be able to see its tip and about half an inch of the bullet showing. It helps to have thin fingers here (remember that the clip shouldn't be in the gun!). Once you've done this, look into the front of the gun (don't worry, it can't fire if the bolt action is in its backwards position). If you don't see any bullets, you should be able to just load the gun and play like normal.

If you see a bullet jammed in the barrel (front part), it means that you tried to keep on firing it even when it was jammed. You're going to have to push it through with a chopstick or something. If you want to try to push it out backwards (out through the clip slot), remember to slide the bolt-action fully forward again, as this will remove a lever that would otherwise make this much more difficult.

VERY VERY VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: The most common reason that your gun jams in the first place is using misshapen bullets. Note also that a jam will most likely mess up the involved bullets. If one of your bullets is bent in the middle or has a tear or something, DO NOT put it in your clip, unless you like the process of unjamming your gun again and again. (if you're experienced with Nerf guns, you can load them anyway but it's still risky)

ALSO NOTE: Almost all jams can be cleared by the first method alone. Also know that jams are much more often to occur if you're firing your gun incorrectly. (My brother and I share a longshot. It almost never jams for me, but almost every clip he loads jams for him...)

Happy nerfing!

use flat head screwdriver to pry off the bolts, take out all the screws and take off the two halves of theshell. take out a couple pieces and put 'em back in.
to make sure you do it right look on Google for Nerf long shot internals and match your gun with the picture. put the other half of the shell on and put in the screws again. put the orange piece back on like you did when you first got it and viola, your done.

pull back the cocking mechanism back, open the black hatch. You can pull the bullet out from there.
