There is a can of graphite spray at your neiborhood do it yourself store , spray it into the lock area and wait, first you can try WD40.

If you haven't already done this, try holding the trunk release button down for a few seconds on your remote. Toyota set it up this way so that you don't accidentally open the trunk when you mean to lock the doors. There is also a button inside the glovebox that will disable or enable that function. try pressing it and then use the remote.
