How do you fix a connection problem with IE if you can connect to Internet but not the browser?

First I would try to reinstall IE. When you try to install it after an initial install it will ask you if you would like to modify or repair. Try to repair it first. If that doesn't work you there may be other prolems such as spyware. If so you can use a free program called Ad-adware which will scan you system.
After that I would just try Firefox as a better option to IE..
