We recently had to replace the driver's side rear turn signal bulb on my 93 Mark VIII. This is what we had to do:
- Purchase the replacement bulbs first - See sources and related links below for bulb information.
- Inside trunk on driver's side - remove panel trim retainers (plastic plugs) that hold up carpet lining (you can get a cheap tool to remove these at any auto parts store - they're a real pain otherwise)
- After you pull the carpet away you'll see there are bolts on the inside of the trunk that hold the light assembly onto the outside
- Remove those bolts
- The light assembly pulls away on the outside and you can replace the bulb(s)
- Push light assembly back in place
- Replace bolts
- Replace carpet
- Replace panel trim retainers (we had to use some new ones because some were too mangled after removing them with pliers - the removal tool is much easier)
All done!
