Could be one of two things. It could be the head/control unit. Or, more probably, the fan resistor has gone bad. Look under the dash on the passenger side. Remove the sound insulator if it is there. Look at the heater box. You should see a rectangular flat flange with either a connector (4 pin, I think) or 4 heavty guage wires coming out of it. It is held in place by 2 screws. Remove and replace.
are you talking about the one that controlls fan speed its out side under the hood on side of heater box
Resistor on the heater blower motor has failed
Remove the wiring harness from the back of your 1994 Chevy heater fan motor. Remove the heater fan motor retaining bolts. Remove the fan from the front of the heater motor. Reverse the process to install the new heater fan motor.
now when you say replaced heater fan multi speed are talking the fan or the switch because ther is a fan speed resitor that can go bad and fan only works on high speed which can cause conector to get very hot and cause insolation on the wires to melt and cause a short in the harness making fan run constantly.
Perhaps a bad fan resistor
If its the fan speed your talking about its likely that the speed controller on the fan is broken and had its days
it is usally a dry connection on the fan speed switch
Switch problem? Cables disconnected?
Yes there is, but it only operates the high speed function.
I believe you have a relay that runs the high speed for the heater fan motor. The relay should be located in the power distribution box under the hood.
It is the resistor, replace it.
It should be located on the evaporator case.
