take it in to your local shop depends on what is wrong with it :)
If you have an iPhone 3g or 3gs the glass/digitizer/lcd is one unit and must be removed with a suction cup and remove the 2 screws at the bottom. If you have an iPhone 4 or …4s cracked front screen the whole phone needs to be taken apart. The back is easy to replace. You can buy the back from a repair shop or online and remove the screws at the bottom and slide the back cover up.
It could be a software issue or even a manufacturer defect. Call 1-800-APL-CARE and talk to a tech advisor. Be sure to have your serial number ready, which depending on the iP…hone you have can be found on the back of your iPhone or on the sim card. They'll let you know if you are in your 90 days of complimentary phone support, if you are they can help you out a lot if not, they'll give you some other offers like the One Time Support Agreement which is around 29 bucks, or the Apple Protection Plan which covers you for 2 years from the date of device purchase, it costs 59 online, but varies typically depending on device and what not. A free option is Apple Support online. I'll give you a link for that. Apple.com/support/iPhone
No f***ing idea
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Take it into an Ipod repair shop or if you don't want to pay for that the put packing tape over it.

You can't. Buy a new one. WHY WAS IT IN THE STOVE?
You can try to reset the handset. You need to hold down the home button (square at middle bottom of handset) together with the power off/on button at top of handset. Press tog…ether and hold, this should restart the phone. If this does not sort out your problem, connect your handset to the computer you authorised the iPhone to work with and roll back (revert) to a previous working version of your phone, using the feature provided when connected via iTunes.
you would have to take to a pro
press and hold the home button for 10-20 seconds. if it doesn't work, you have to replace it by calling the apple company
Take the phone to your nearest Apple store for any repairs. If you try to do it yourself and you damage the phone, your insurance may not cover it. Just to cover all basis, te…st the phone with an alternate charger if you have not already done so.

If u touch the screen and nothing happens turn the phone completely off by holding the little button on top. When the phone has turned off, turn it back on and hopfully it wil…l not be frozen anymore. If its still frozen then take it to an apple store. And if they cant fix it then u will have to get a new phone i guess
My iPhone 4 recently did this. I turned it all the way off and plugged it into the wall, then I turned it on and the apple sign came up, so I sat there and waited for it to bo…ot up and then the restart swirling circle came up and it kept freezing and my phone was vibrating. It did this all night long and most of the morning until I plugged it into my laptop and it worked again. The next day my iPhone did this again, so I did what I did before and it didn't work. The phone's screen went black and little red stripes appeared slowly moving. When I plugged in my phone into the wall while the lines were still on the screen nothing happened. The iPhone did not vibrate like it usually does when I plug it in. I held down the home button and the on/off button for 10 seconds and the apple logo appeared and my phone turned on and was fairly normal acting for the rest of the day. The next day my phone did the same thing, but holding down the buttons would not work and nor would plugging it into my laptop. A sign with a charger and iTunes logo appeared, I searched through the internet for something to fix it. I tried everything the websites said, nothing worked. If I were you I would contact Apple or whoever your phone is with, Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, etc.. They might just tell you you're out of luck and to restore your phone. There was something else you could also do that synced it on iTunes, but it won't work if you have a passcode. I had to restore my phone and now I have no contacts and it's summer and where I live everyone goes on vacation. I am also on vacation and I only have like 5 contacts. I'm sorry, but that might be just what you have to do if nothing works.
Apple can't but PEar will if you ask him nicely
To fix an iPhone 4 with no sound, simply reset the phone, reboot,or jail break it if all fails, because the problem issoftware-based.
