The problem with standard IQ tests is that they only measure one part of the intelligence of the human. There are at least seven different areas of the IQ, but most tests measure the comprehension/visual part of this complex area. If you want to take a test, be honest with yourself. Time the test accurately and accept the results honestly. There will be areas that do not "gell" with your own intellectual concepts. Mathematical concepts that you do not understand will lower your score of course, so get one appropriate to your age group. Don't stress about the numbers! Everyone is different, and one test might be slanted toward the mathemetician, another toward the linguist. Take two or more and get an average to get an "accurate" result. But, being honest about it, an IQ score isn't as important as what you do with your intelligence! Being a "genius" means squat if you do not use it in your own interests.
There are several ways to gain intelligence. You can read educational books, find games online that enhances your brain, and take educational classes at your local college.
No. They can train your mind to react more quickly to a situation, but by no means, is there any evidence to suggest it raises your IQ. Which is an indicator of intelligence.
Exercise their minds with Board Games or Video Games that encourage strategy and problem-solving. Reading is a great activity for kids to learn and become better writers, too.
That's difficult to say. IQ measurement is a relatively recent development. That and the fact that the higher levels of IQ are extremely difficult to measure accurately.
there was supposedly a person who had an IQ of 190 which is highest ever recorded, but those tests really aren't viable enough to accurately measure intelligence.
By far the best way of accurately determining your IQ is to ask either Spiderman or Charlie Brown
IQ tests are used to measure intelligence.
IQ is a measure of inherent intelligence, not education.
I Q measure for the smartness and cleaver of the person
IQ tests contain cultural bias; people in certain cultures have certain kinds of knowledge that people in other cultures don't have, and that knowledge is then used in IQ tests as evidence of superior intelligence, which then becomes a way to make some ethnic groups seem to be smarter than others. Aside from that problem, we do not really know that any IQ test accurately measures intelligence; the only thing we can say with certainty about IQ tests is that they measure the ability to do IQ tests.
While 95 is slightly below average don't be concerned about it:deviations of ±5 points are usually considered statistically insignificant; a retest could easily give a higher scorethe only thing IQ tests have been shown to consistently measure reliably and accurately is one's ability to score high on IQ tests
IQ tests and achievement tests measure different things in learners. Achievement tests only measure what the student has learned in a particular subject while IQ tests measure how well you will do in the world.
