First you have to acknowledge the fact that you have sinned. Second you have to call upon the name of the Lord and ask for forgivness after having repented of your sin (Sins). You have to kneel in prayer having a broken heart and a contrite spirit having a deep sorrow for having sinned. If you have sinned against another person you also need to ask for their forgivness. Last but not least, you have to make a covenant with God not to sin again.
