- Babies may cry for a number different reasons, none of which have been proven facts, only theories. When a women has a water birth and the baby comes out and is brought to the surface, most times the baby does not cry. It just opens his or her eyes to look around at the new world, due to a non stressful enviroment. Doctors and midwives DO NOT intentionally force an infant to cry, the only time a doctor or midwife would force a child to cry is if the baby came out unresponsive and that is the only reason for that action. I believe all theories are true to some extent but not true to every birth. I believe it is traumatic for a baby to go from a warm uterus to a cold hospital room, when he or she has never experienced cold before, along with virtually "floating" in amniotic fluid to feeling gravity, the baby may feel he or she is falling. Also it may be a painful experience to come down the birth canal with certain births...there are other related things such as confusion/scared/cold/forceps/vacumms used/drugs used / possible pain etc. So until a baby is able tell us why they cry we will just have to theorize.

∙ 12y agotake it away from her mom and the newborn baby girl will cry because she is very hungry and you took her away from the beast when she was having a feed and she cryied a lot until you feed her youself then she will stop crying until you pinch her hard and then she will start crying again until you gave her her pacifier or play a theme song and put her back to sleep again like the nick jr the backyardigans theme song or if you hold her in your arms and walk around with her she will go back to sleep but when it is dark she will start to cry until you change he dipper and then put her back to sleep and she will sleep until morning before crying again for food but when you feed her she will fall alsleep and then you wake her up to try to burp her and she will cry whenever she is wooken up or bringing pinched or hungry or sleeply or hurt or sick or alone
