You have to fumigate the house. Spray cans of fumigant are available at many hardware and pet stores; typically one can will do about 500 square feet (read the label). Plan where you are going to place each can, so that once you open it you need not go back into that room. Get all the people and animals out of the house, and then start blasting. Allow several hours for the stuff to work. You may need to repeat the process in ten days, as the sprays will kill adults and larvae but not eggs. And, of course, you will have to kill the fleas on your pets.

Believe it or not, OxyClean really seems to work well for many stains. It definitely takes some time though, especially getting the "extra" liquid/solution out of the carpet, but it works. If you have one of those carpet cleaners where it "sucks" up the solution, that would probably help.

AnswerIt isn't so much the carpet, but the under-lay (under the carpet) and it's like a sponge, so if you just spot clean you don't really get out all of the stain and it can reappear because whatever the spot was is still in the under-lay. The best thing to do (don't know if you have Home Dept Hardware Store there ... big outlet) is to rent one of their commercial shampooers and buy ZEP for the solution. I just did my carpets last Sunday (had a couple of bad spots re pets ... they upchucked) and it got it out. It sucks everything away from the underlay. The spots don't seem to reappear.

(based on my experience) I would take some brown Lysol and dab about 2 tablespoons on a rag. If you have a wood floor, then just wipe all around the area, then take a dry rag and wipe it up. If you have a carpet, then lie the rag down on the area, then press down with your hand. then i would take a vacuum and just vacuum the area, but this is optional. hope i helped!

You can buy powder for dry cleaning that doesn't need water. you just rub it on carpet and vacuum it after 1 hour. I don't know the name of the product.
