A taxi rank is located directly in front of Central Station and a taxi would be able to take you directly to the airport.
Alternatively, turn right on leaving the front entrance to the station and go briefly along Gordon Street until you reach the junction. Turn left up Renfield Street and continue until you come to St Vincent Street - it's not much more than 200 yards. Turn left again and you will find a bus stop used by the two competing airport bus services. The one operated by Arriva goes direct to the airport whereas the one operated by First goes round by the Scottish Exhibition Centre and is rather slower. You can also catch these buses at Buchanan Bus Station, but it's a much longer walk.
You could also get one of the frequent trains from Glasgow Central to Paisley Gilmour Street, then get a taxi from there to the Airport or catch the local bus which goes there via Shortroods. A direct rail route from Glasgow Central to Glasgow International Airport is currently under construction and will open in 2011.
There is a free bus. Or it can be walked in 8 mins. Turn right out of main exit; walk to Buchanan Street and turn left; walk to St. Vincent Street and turn right; walk to Queen Street and turn right; Queen Street station is ahead.
There is a bus link between the two stations.
