How do you level up quickly on Borderlands?

In the dahl headland kill skagzilla several times, each time gets about 8000 xp. Also in the hiddencave kill those fairy things several times, each one is around 3000 xp and there are three, so it should get 9000 each time, after doing this exit the game and come back to rekill the respawned enemies.

Also, a way to level up before you go into dahl headlands is simply kill everything. in arid badlands, kill bone head several times, skag gully, kill scar and nine toes several times (their levels get progressively higher). Then make your way over to arid hills and kill everything you see until you get to Sledge's safehouse; kill everyone in there. once you've killed everything in the arid badlands, exit your game, and repeat this as many times as you like.

Other good ways are completing bounties and challenges.

If you are willing to wait a lil while the best opportunity you will have to rank up fast is in Trash Coast. There you battle a boss called Rakk Hive. This boss is super easy to beat if you keep your distance and move out of the way of his spitting attack. Doing this in the second play through of the game is when you will really earn a substantial amount of Xp and see major improvements to your weapon efficiencies. I believe on ave. you should get 20-25,000 Xp every time you beat the boss. Super easy way to max out your weapon efficiencies and become a powerhouse for the rest of the games dlc.

(Note: You will have to exit and reload the game every time you beat the boss)

When defeating Skagzilla on Playthrough 2, run to the ledge leading out of the emergency exit. Let Skagzilla jump on you, and then run out. skagzilla will stand there, and keep opening his mouth for critical hits. He does not damage you, so fire away! Once beaten, go collect the weapons and money he dropped, restart the game, and do it again.

In the first mission (Fresh Off The Bus) After you kill all enemies, before you turn in your mission you should level up from them. Then quit the game and reload it. All the badguys should return, giving you exp each time you restart.

When you get the Circle of Slaughter mission, go there and fight all badguys until you get to round 3. On round 3, fight all enemies until there's one left. Don't kill it or this technique will be ruined. restart your game and you should be able to restart round 3, giving you max exp.

When you are lvl 1, prefferably, make a gamespy account. (Note: You'll need a very high character also to use this trick) Login, then select your Character, the strong one, BEFORE entering someones game. Find a game with the host being a very high level, join, then IN game, select your character to your weak lvl 1 person. Every enemy the host (or someone else kills) kills, you'll level up. Note: This trick only works until about 10 lvls below the host. Note: Stay behind so you don't die and lose the millions of money you'll most likely find during your gameplay.
