I'm not sure but I know how to. The best thing to do is to get permission. Do this by phoning the director or someone who is involved in the movie somehow. Or you can write a letter.
Those posters can become quite collectible, and as one who has worked in advertising I can say there are a few options. If it is a movie poster, find a movie theatre employee who will let you have display art after the movie closes, or maybe has a few extra from the distributor. Advertising agencies can also be a source. Tons of this promo material is printed, and much of it ends up in the trash, unfortunately.
