Drinking a glass of water usually works.
To stop hiccups lie down on a sofa or bed. Get a glass of water and lie upside down on the bed or sofa. Drink the water upside down. ( You can also tilt your head backwards but lying upside down usually works better) Hope that works.

Take the second hand of a clock and place it in your mouth. then you hang upside down from a set of monkey bars and insert a tube down your throat. Pour as much water as possible into the other end. the second hand can be used as a knife incase you feel like your going to die. stab yourself. its easy. If you experience hiccups often you may need to move near an elementary school that has a good set of monkey bars. I really hope this helps you. it ALWAYS works for me.

Okay so, get a cup and fill it at least halfway with water. Take a spoon (this will also work with a butterknife or a fork!) and put it in the water so the handle is sticking out. put the spoon handle on your tongue and drink the water with the handle still on your tongue. Remeber to hold the part of the spoon so that you don't choke and make sure the cup is tall so you don't have to stick the spoon all the way down your throat! This works everytime for me and my friends and family! My source is my teahcer who teacher told the whole class this.
The way to get rid of the hiccups that always works for me and my friends is really easy and simple and gets rid of them right away. Take a small cup and fill it with water and then bend over and drink the water from the side if the cup opposite of you. This works like instantly!
My math teacher taught me this trick, but if you try to hiccup 3 times in 30 seconds that usually gets rid of it for me!
1) Take teaspoon and fill in with white sugar.
2) Take one drink of water and IMMEDIATELY swallow the sugar.

This is the most consistent method I have found for getting rid of hiccups. This only works though if you catch it early though. If you hold your breath and swallow three times you can get rid of your hiccups. I would advise building up saliva before so that it is easier to swallow. Swallow only about half of it the first time, swallow the last bit the second, and then build up more saliva so that you can swallow again.
