To get the key go to higher ground (on the house) and jump down on top of the bat. If this doesn't work, go on the roof and PATIENTLY wait for the bat to fly above you. When it does jump up and get the key. You need to be patient for this part, don't just chase the bat around the screen, that never works.

∙ 14y agoLater on in the game, you will get a copy of Van gogh's "Starry Night". It gives you the option to examine it. Once you do, you will find a note saying "Meet me in the museum
in Early poptropica." There, you will find the creator from Counterfeit, who gives you important information, as well as the key to the house.
