There are two ways to get to Rikers Island by public transportation: the Q100 or Q101 buses, or the Rikers Island van.

The best way to get there from the Bronx is the van. Take the 4 train to 149th Street-Grand Concourse. The van departs from 149th Street at Anthony J. Griffin Place. Walk 1 block east on 149th Street, from Grand Concourse to Anthony J. Griffin Place.

The van costs $8 one way, $13 round trip. You can call the van service at 718-568-5685.

How do you get to Riker's Island from Staten Island?

It depends on 1) where in Brooklyn you are coming from (Brooklyn is almost 100 square miles in area), and 2) what method of transportation you plan to use (bus, subway, car). Without this information, your question is too vague to be answered. Please ask another question and include 1) an exact address or cross street in Brooklyn (or at the very least, a neighborhood), and 2) a method of transportation.
