alright these are fun.....you have to take off the plastic covers underneath. There should be two torx bolts that are holding in the assembly that you get to from the front. after this reach up from underneath and push out the assembly through the fender. you wont have much room to work on it but its just enough to replace it. Test before putting back together because its a pain trying to get them out. the bulb will have one wire coming from it with a metal slab at the end of it. the slab will slide into what looks like a splice connection. there is a gound wire that will go to the metal flanged washer on the back of the fog light assembly. make sure this is clean and gets a good connection, i had to wiggle mine to get a good connection so it would work. good luck!
look under the vehicke where the fog lamps are and you will see a rubber housing that fits around the openin gof the fog lamps, Now take off the rubber seal and you will see the mini bulb and alls you have to do is push forward on both of the small springs and it will release and from there you can tak eoff the mini fog lamp bulb.
There is a small square "trap door" in each wheel well directly behind the fog lamps. You can pry it open and access the fog lamps. They just twist loose. Untrue...in the 2008 Liberty in any case.
Fog lamps on a car show up a lot more in the fog than other lamps simple because they are much brighter. It is therefore advised that you only use them in extreme cases of fog as it can cause issues for other drivers if you have your fog lights on when there is little to no fog.
