There is a belt tensioner (spring loaded pulley that automatically keeps the belt tight) that needs to be temporarily slackened while the now loose belt is slipped off one of the accessories. Sorry, but I can't remember what tool is needed to loosen the belt tensioner. Just opening the hood and observing the tensioner is all that's needed. FYI: if you're having trouble locating the tensioner, just look for the only pulley that appears to drive no accessory, i.e., air conditioner, Power Steering pump, etc. .
Before you do anything either draw a picture of how the belt goes or photograph it. If you don't GOD BLESS YOU. You can look up schematics but most are incorrect. Auto zone had the only correct one for my Rodeo. My belt broke and there was no diagram under the hood.
how do you change the serpentine belt on a 2001 Rodeo
When changing the serpentine belt it is important to have a diagram. The diagram of the serpentine belt of a 2001 Isuzu Rodeo 6-cylinder can be found in its manual or a print out can be obtained at an auto part store.
We think so.

Check the serpentine belt. If it's loose it will make a terrible noise.

No, the one for a vehicle "with AC" is longer because of the extra pulley (compressor) the belt has to travel around.
how to install a serpentine belt on 1989 f250 diesel 7.3l
its easier to put the pulley on first, then thread the belt up to the pulley then use a wrench to pull against the spring on the pulley, then slide the belt in. using a 15mm wrench on the bolt or an Allen will give you all the leverage you need for an easy install
