If you're just swapping head units, it should be pretty easy (assuming the new one either has the same plugin). Pull the plastic part off of the middle of the dash (start in the top vents and work your way down the sides). The radio is held in by screws on each corner, pull them out and the radio should come out pretty easily. Unhook it from the wires in the back and begin istall of the new one.
Above all, make sure that the new unit will work in your car!!!! Double check things like the ohms-rating.
First off.... Its not just "Swapping head units" and its not "super easy". The 07 Dodge Charger vehicle harness does not have a V12 ignition wire, So what you can do is wire it to your constant battery wire, and insert a toggle switch. Or you can run your own ignition wire.
The easiest method, however, is to run the "switched 12v" line down to the 12v socket directly underneath the HVAC panel.
