i have a 79 Ford f250 custom and i took out the old light fixture and i bought a new one. i also bought a button switch that i drilled a hole and screwed into my dash which actually looks pretty nice. finding a way to run the wires into the engine compartment and hiding them is going to be the hardest part. connect the wires to the battery and there you go. just push the button and you got light.

If you need to replace your dome light switch you will need to remove the cover first. You can use your fingernails or even a small knife to get the cover off.
