They do not like the scent of human hair. Try cleaning out your hairbrush and spread the hair around the plant. You can get more hair from a barber. I have heard that pouring human urine around a plant will repel them as well. There is also a product called "Invisible Fence" that you can spray directly onto a plant that will keep them from eating it.
