E4OD E4OD was used 1989-97 in many full-size Ford trucks. 1997 was a transition year where either a E4OD or a 4R100 could be found in any particular vehicle. This is a computer controlled rear wheel drive overdrive transmission. The 4R100 is the replacement for the E4OD but most parts are NOT interchangeable. Rear cooler line is the cooler return line. Answeri believe the automatic trans is the E40D, and the 5spd manual is the C6Yes the auto is the E4OD but the manual trans is called a model ZF trans.
your local big chain auto supply stores should be able to tell you if you call them
If the F-150 has the Ford E4OD transmission, then yes, it will fit into the Ford Bronco. If it has the E6 automatic, however, you may have some issues.
e4od
if its an automatic, and a four speed, E4OD?
E4od
No factory overdrive for that specific truck. How ever an E4OD from a later 460 will bolt to the M engine. Would need an aftermarket controller and fabricate mounts for the transmission.
E4OD(transmission) with C6 in overdrive
The tach sensor should be on the injection pump timing cover. Depending on what trans you may have 3 wires or possibly 2 wires. I know an E4OD has 3 wires. one goes to external regulator on pass. fender and the other 2 run to the driver side into the the trans. computer( if you have an electonic transmission with overdrive.

auto trans fluid its crazy i know
Yes, if the motor is the same. The year doesn't neccessarily matter as the same engines and trannies were offered for multiple years. Since the 1990 f250 already had a e4od then you know for sure that it will work.
