How do you know when your ex hasn't really moved on?

I think that in many respects ex's do not fully move on from each other in the sense that you were both part of each others lives, albeit go or bad, and that has been an influence on who you are today.
If an ex still wants to be with you or hasn't gotten over the hurt necessarily and ready to move on, they will no doubt be trying to grab your attention, that may be by phoning or texting, emotional blackmail, getting mates to "check up on you", flirting with people that would have at one point angered you in jealousy, telling you in depth details about a date and perhaps sending gifts or being at the same place as you at the same time.
All of these issues do not necessarily matter if you are over that person, as there wont be that deep emotional attachment, as long as you are happy and content with yourself, give them a wide birth.

It is really hard to tell as guys don't show how they may be feeling as prominently as girls do. Sometimes they may not have another girl or dating in the sense of moved on but their feelings most times do. Your ex is the only one that knows and could tell you where exactly he is at. You can tell more easily that he has someone, than if he doesn't. If his time is all the sudden taken up, and he's seen going more than coming, he's wih her most of the time. If he seems to be available, and will stop to chat, he could be with someone and he's playing it cool, or he's not happy with the new girlfriend, or he has become involved yet. If you are looking to get him back, play it cool too. Don't be ready to cling to him. That may be why he left, he needed space.
