You make her a bed , and a clean environment. Let her clean up the puppies herself. Then give her a doggie bed and she cuddle and feed the puppies herself. When they are about 6 weeks old, take the puupies to the vet so they can have their first puppy shots. Call your vet office first. And they will give them parvo shots, very important do not take your mommy dog to the park or have any oyher contact with other dogs, because the puupies can get parvo and they will die. That's why it is very important all the dogs around are vaccinated (up to date) Good luck.

Don't bother her if she is still in the process of pushing, wait until she is done. Then she'll eat the sac around the puppy. When she is done removing the sac you should use a towel to help the puppy breathe. If you wait a minute and the mother has still not released the puppy from the sticky sac thingy you'll have to remove it yourself. When the puppy is free from the sac rub it with a towel to help it breathe. Then you might want to remove the amniotic fluid from its nose. You can buy something for that from a pet store. =]

You should let the dog go into labor. Make sure she has water and is pushing. Comforter and remain calm around her so not to scare her. If the puppies come out wait for the mom to start to pull the puppy from the skin it is wrapped in. if she doesn't you rip the skin the puppy is in so it can breathe. If it isn't breathing take it in your hands and shake it up and down to get the liquid out of its lungs. Most of the time the mom will do everything. if you are too worried call the vet.
