a recipe for:
LOVE POTION TEA
1 pinch of rosemary
2 teaspoons of black tea
3 pinches thyme
3 pinches nutmeg
3 fresh mint leaves
6 fresh rose petals
6 lemon leaves
3 cups pure spring water
Sugar
Honey
To make another person fall in love with you, brew this tea on a Friday during a waxing moon (moving from empty to full).
Place all ingredients in an earthenware or copper tea kettle. Boil three cups of pure spring water and add to the kettle. Sweeten with sugar and honey, if desired.
Before drinking, recite this rhyme:
BY LIGHT OF MOON WAXING
I BREW THIS TEA
TO MAKE [lover's name] DESIRE ME.
Drink some of the tea and say:
GODDESS OF LOVE
HEAR NOW MY PLEA
LET [lover's name] DESIRE ME!
SO MOTE IT BE
SO MOTE IT BE
On the following Friday, brew another pot of the love potion tea and give some to the person you want to love you. He or she will soon begin to fall in love with you.

Classic Love Potion #9
There are a few different love potion spells based on the magickal number 9, but this is one of the more traditional ones. It's an easy spell, even though it does have a long list of ingredients. Thankfully, they are all pretty easy to find:
- 9 oz sweet red wine
- 9 basil leaves, fresh
- 9 red rose petals, fresh
- 9 whole cloves
- 9 apple seeds
- 9 drops real vanilla extract
- 9 drops strawberry juice
- 9 drops apple juice
- 9 small pieces of ginseng root
- 9 pink candles
- Large cooking pot
- Cheesecloth or fine strainer
- Small glass bottle
Light candles around the area where you will be working (likely the kitchen), and mix all the ingredients in your pot. Stir together over low heat while saying the words of this spell:"Let the one who drinks this wine,
Shower me with love divine,
Love potion number nine,
Let his (or her) love be forever mine.
Bring everything to a low simmer and let it heat for another 9 minutes. Take the pot off the stove and let it cool. While it is cooling down, say the names of 9 love goddesses aloud: Venus, Ishtar, Astarte, Nephthys, Hathor, Aphrodite, Freya, Arianrhod, Inanna.
Strain your fresh potion to remove the bits and pieces, and pour into a stoppered bottle. Keep in the fridge until you need it. Give on its own to your loved one, or add to another drink for a romantic boost of magick.

red food colouring
A toenail clipping
Gently pour in the food colouring, then put in extremely fast the strands of hair.
STIR STIR STIR. Then put in a toenail clipping.

∙ 13y agoUnlike what you have seen on TV, in film and read in fiction, love spells are not easy, nor are they ethical if you intend to cast one on someone else.
Casting a "love spell" on someone without their complete knowledge, and express permission is the worse kind of manipulation. Love is a very deep and personal emotion and the manipulation of someone's emotions is not just unethical, but puts you directly in the way of the three-fold Rule.
Love spells undertaken with the permission and help of your partner can enhance an already existing relationship as long as you do not include a binding in the spell, most practitioners recognise that these spells, like hand-fastings should only endure for "as long as the love shall last."
If you want to do a love spell to draw a new love to you -provided you are not aiming the spell at a specific person- can be cast upon yourself.
However, before you undertake the magical, start by doing the mundane first... Get your own life in order, get rid of any old "baggage" and clean up your personal space. Then do your spell and get out in the world and meet new people. The Universe will bring the "right" person into your life when you are ready.
