You first have to have berries. Then you go to Hearthome City and you will find a couple of buildings with signs by them. Go to the house with the green roof, or, by the Pokeshop. After that you go inside and see the lady with the apron on. She will then allow you to make poffins right there!! [ you can't make poffins anywhere else]

These are the best berries to use: Liechi Berry (Sweet-Spicy), Galon Berry (Bitter-Dry), Salac Berry (Sour-Sweet), Petaya Berry (Spicy-Bitter), Apicot Berry (Dry-Sour), Enigma Berry (Spicy-Dry), Micle Berry (Dry-Sweet), Custap Berry (Sweet-Bitter), Jaboca Berry (Bitter-Sour) and Rowap Berry (Sour-Spicy). The highest level poffin I made from these berries was lv 44 and the lowest lv 32. Try both berries of the flavor you want. If one of them is making lv 30-something poffins try the other berry and it should be a higher level. Tips: Stir it gently when the fire is red, a bit harder when it turns yellow, and as fast as you want when it turns blue. Overflowing it may or may not help. To make a Poffin, you need to have three things first: a Poffin case, at least one berry and access to Hearthome City. To obtain a Poffin case, talk to the President of the Pokemon Fan Club in Hearthome City, he will give you one.

If you have these three things, head to the Pokemon Centre in Hearthome city. From the entrance, make your way South and turn right when you pass the next set of buildings. The house closest to you should be the place where you make Poffins (you'll know by a sign out the front). Enter the house and speak to the lady standing by what looks to be a brightly-coloured cauldron. She will ask you if you wish to make Poffins. Agree and the process begins.

First, you must pick a berry - and only one berry - to be put into the mixture. Each berry has a different set of stats, so each berry will effect the flavour and strength of your Poffin. The rarest berries tend to be the strongest.

You will then see the berry enter the pot where a cream coloured liquid will envelope it. From here, you will be required to stir the mixture, so the use and proper function of your stylus and touch screen is needed.

Blue or green arrows will appear as you stir the mixture and you will need to stir in the direction of the arrows to help the Poffin cook. If, however, you stir to quickly, the mixture will overflow and your Poffin's full potential will be compromised. Conversely, if you fail to stir the mixture fast enough, it will burn - also diminishing the full effect of your Poffin. To make a good Poffin, you will need to moderate your stiring.

The mixture will solidify slowly as you stir it, making stiring harder (or easier, depending on how you see it). Continue to stir in the direction of the arrows (as they will change) and eventually you will have a complete Poffin.

The grade of the Poffin depends on the berry used, time taken to cook and the times the mixture burned or overflowed. Generally, you want a high-grade berry and a fast cooking time with absolutely no overflow or burning. Once you have finished cooking, you have the option of feeding the Poffin to your Pokemon, trashing it or making another one. Remember, everything can improve with time, so practice is bound to make the Poffins better.

Unfortunately, Poffin-making is an individual process and cannot be contributed to by a group. It is unlike PokeBlock making as there are no multiple berries or people.
