If you want to merget the subtitle to the movie, try total video converter which has a filter for subutitle.
download vlc media player open it (the player not the file) select file open file(not quick open file) in the file tab for it will be as the following
Open: Browse
use a subtitles file: Check the box Advanced Settings:
File : Browse
first select browse on the first line and choose your media file
then check the box in the second line and choose your subtitle file.

First of all you have to check the frame rate of movie by selecting particular movie file and press (ALT+ENTER) now from property >> select "Detail" in video category in last you will be able to see frame rate something like 23 frames/sec.
