How do you change your background?

The most important factor is to start corectly, whatever wallpaper you are hanging. This is to start from a corner of the room, but not right into the corner but a couple of inches away from the corner. This is because the walls of a house are not usually perfectly flat or perfectly straight and the ceilings are not exactly horizontal.

So, about 2 inches from the corner and near the ceiling, make a mark on the wall with pencil. Then hang a plumb bob, a weight on a string, and put more pencil marks on the wall downwards. to show how the plumb bob has given you an exactly vertical starting line. That is where you hang your first length of wallpaper with the edge of the wallpaper following the vertical line marks, Then you can hang the second length exactly next to the first until you reach another corner. Cut along the length of the next sheet so that it will turn the corner by two or three inches.

Never hang a length which overhangs a corner by more than two or three inches. Use your plumb bob and pencil again when you work away from the corner.

First you look at a picture that you would like to become your desktop background. Once you have decided, you right-click the mouse and click on the choice that says set as desktop bckground. That is how you do it.

on xp you

Click anywhere on the Desktop that is not an icon, but click once with your right hand mouse button A menu pops up.

Click on Properties, once with your Left mouse button The dialogue box pops up

This is the Display Properties dialogue box. As you can see, there are tab strips for Themes, Desktop, Screensaver, Appearance, and Settings. Click on the Background tab strip and the dialogue box will change

There is a list of wallpapers we can use. Click on one, and you get a preview of what it will look like. Scroll down to see more wallpapers. If you're satisfied, click the OK button to set your wallpaper.

You can use your own images. You are not limited to the ones on the list. If you have an image somewhere on your computer, and you want to use that instead of the ones on the list, you can click the Browse button, in the image above. Doing so will bring up the Browse Dialogue box

In the image above, no background files are showing. You can click one of the folders on the left to search for a picture, or use the "Look In" drop down box at the top. When some background image are showing, click on one to select it. The name of the file you have selected will then appear in the File name text box.

Click the "Open" button to return to the Display Properties dialogue box. A preview of your image will be displayed. If you're happy with your selection, click the "Apply" button then OK. Your desktop will change to your selected image.

I think it is similar on windows 7.

On a mac you A quick way into the System Preferences panel for your background is to right-click (or Ctrl-click or two-fingers-on-the-trackpad click) on your desktop andChange Desktop Background...

There's quite a few built in options, but you can also use the menu at the left to pick from your iPhotos albums or Choose Folder... to go digging in your files.

Right-clicking an image in Safari or Firefox also gives you the option to set as background, but doesn't save the file anywhere accessible to you - so if you'd like to keep the image, be sure to save it as well.

On your computer when you first start up, click on the start menu down in the left corner and click on either "My Computer" or "Control Panel"

My Computer>Control Panel>Display>Desktop(or Wallpaper or sumin like that) click on browse to use one of your own photos

if you don't want to spend a lot time you can :

- right click on desktop >properties>desktop>choose paper that you want to show.

A program called log on tweaker can change your lock screen wallpaper. To change it manually you would need to do allot of work. Personally I think this is easier.
