It will have one brakeline exiting the bottom of the master cylinder. You can purchase a reuild kit for a new/remanufactured master cylinder from most neighborhood auto parts stores. After replacing the master cylinder, it will be necessary to bleed the brakes to remove air from the lines. 1966 C-10 had four wheel drum brakes. Drum brakes are controlled by a wheel cylinder (this transfers the hydraulc pressure of the brake fluid to mechanical pressure exerted on the brake shoes. A typical brake job involves replacement of brake shoes, replacement or rebuilding of the wheel cylinder, and bleeding the brakes to remove air from the lines. Since a 1966 vehicle is now pushing 43 years old, you may need to check the hard brake lines and junctions for leaks and also examine the rubber brake hoses (two in front, one in back) by bending the hose and looking for cracks or deteriorating rubber. It is a good idea to purchase a service manual (Haynes, Chiltons, or better still a Chevrolet Truck Shop Manual (you may need the 1963 manual and the 1966 Supplement) to walk you through the step to perform this work safely.
