What worked for me is, go into volume control icon, then go to options, properties, select the "recording" tab, and select either "stereo mix" or "mono mix". At first i thought when you checked off one of these it muted it so i had this problem for awhile, until i actually read it said "selected". So yeah, select either stereo or mono give your recording a try and it should work.

∙ 11y agoYou need to have System Mixer function selected as the default playback device. (Control Panel >> Sound). Once you have it selected, it'll record "what you hear" on the audio speakers.
