When a photo is manually deleted from sd card, it is not permanently removed. The space that the deleted photo was stored is marked as available for new data, but the photos is still recoverable as long as it is not overwritten. Nevertheless, we need a reliable recovery tool to retrieve the deleted photo. A recovery tool like Recuva or Jihosoft photo recovery might help.
Note: Once new files are saved to the sd card, they might damage the deleted photo. At that time, even the best photo recovery tool cannot get back the photo perfectly.

∙ 13y agoIt should be no problem at all to get them back. Do not take any more pictures, and remove the card from the camera to lessen the chance of you overwriting some important pictures or videos. There are VERY many freeware software options available to help you recover your files. Please see the below "Related Link" to a blog article that reviews several of the better freeware recovery programs that you can download. You may need to use a card reader with these programs though.
